Melbourne, 1995, a women's shelter welcomes Shayda and her daughter Mona, 6 years old, fleeing her husband's violence. Despite their dark fears, they dance, sing and celebrate Nowrouz, the bright Iranian New Year. Between the mother and her daughter, a poignant harmony, a common revolt and the same resilience.
