Films showing at the 20th edition
Opening Film No Other Land
For this opening night, the F5C Festival invites you on a cinematic journey that goes beyond the screen: a collective experience where art meets commitment, where emotion turns into action. May this screening remind us that there is no “other land” – we have only one world, one horizon, to defend together.
This film takes us into the intimacy of those who fight to preserve their land, their dignity, and their future. It is not only about bearing witness, but about opening a breach, rekindling a spark of humanity in a present too often clouded by indifference.
The 2025 Jury of the Five Continents Film Festival
Each year, the Festival entrusts its jury with the delicate and exciting mission of rewarding works from across the five continents. For this 20th edition, two remarkable personalities embody the spirit of the Festival:
Shain Boumedine, actor and filmmaker revealed by Abdellatif Kechiche’s Mektoub My Love, is establishing himself as a rising voice in French cinema. His journey, at the crossroads of sensitivity and commitment, reflects a genuine attention to intimate stories and deeply inhabited characters.
David Barbeschi, Franco-Italian screenwriter and director, founder of Think Thru Films, explores through his work social fractures, multiple identities, and possible bridges between cultures. His cinema questions, challenges, and invites us to see the world differently.
Together, they bring the jury a wealth of perspectives: one through the power of his performance and his quest for sincerity on screen, the other through his writing and directorial vision. Two complementary sensibilities to shed light, through their choices, on what cinema reveals about our time and our societies.
